What Portata makes
Portata focuses on visionOS apps for Apple Vision Pro, starting with the way people look, reach, and interact with the world around them.
Spatial computing opens up a different set of possibilities. These are the ideas guiding the studio's work.
Design for depth, scale, and the room around you. Use space when it makes an experience clearer, more useful, or more engaging.
Begin with the eyes and hands. Keep interactions understandable, with clear feedback and a sense of control.
Let the purpose lead the technology. Make room for both practical tools and playful experiences, with care for the details that make them feel right.
The idea behind the name
Portata is Italian for “reach.” The phrase a portata di mano means “within arm's reach.” It captures the studio's interest in bringing software closer to the way we naturally interact.
The mark is a pinch: two fingertips holding a small bead of light. A simple gesture at the center of a spatial experience.
There’s a person behind Portata. Say hello.
